Friday, February 6th, 2004

Renoise 1.5 Alpha version Mac & PC is available for registered users (like me for example). I just love that program, Taktik & Dev-team are doing a great job.

Now you can right click any selection and render it to an empty sample slot and the automation has been improved. There are also alot of other new featues, Renoise is the ultimate music production tool for me.

Try it now if you haven’t before!

Shining Force game project

Friday, February 6th, 2004

Before going to Omation, i was working on an own video game based on the system of the Shining Force series (as seen on Sega Genesis and Sega Saturn in the past).

I worked about two months coding the system, using Visual C++ and TrueVision3D, a DirectX based game engine. The pics might look crappy, as they only use temporary objects and graphics so far. The Battle system is allready working though, and it’s fun!
The Project is on hold now, but i am very dedicated to this, so i might continue it in the future! The engine eats files from Animation Master, by the way :)

If you are a SF fan, like me, you might be happy to hear that Sega is currently developing a new Shining Force game for the Playstation 2.

There is also ShiningForceCentral.com, a huge site dedicated to SF.

And Sony is going to release the “PSP” Handheld in 2005, it’s like a portable Playstation2! I am really looking forward for this :)

Numark CDX CD Turntable

Friday, February 6th, 2004

You can scratch CDs and MP3s with a real turntable! It has a high torque motor (5.0kg/cm) and some extra candy features! Midi sync, fancy DSP sound FX onboard (phase, sonar, slide, echo, filter and chop) and a “beatkeeper” for auto detecting loops.

I just ordered one. I hope i won’t regret it, but i read some positive reviews. And i just love scratching!
